Wind doesn’t have to be a hurricane to tear off shingles, drop a tree on the house or flatten a fence. Tornadoes, thunderstorms and straight-line winds do the same damage, and insurers push back on it the same way.
Our licensed public adjusters document what the storm did to the roof, walls, windows and everything around the house, and build the claim for all of it. The first review is free.
Storm claims get underpaid in the details. Call us before you accept their number.
Wind claims draw the same few objections. Here’s how we answer them.
Wind breaks the seal under shingles that still look in place, and those lift and leak in the next storm. We check the whole roof, slope by slope, and document every creased, lifted and missing shingle.
Fences, sheds, carports, screen enclosures and detached garages are usually covered under other structures, a separate part of your policy with its own limit. We make sure they’re in the claim, not left off it.
Many policies help pay to remove a tree that hits the house or another covered structure, and to clear storm debris. We add those costs to the claim instead of leaving them on your bill.
Insurers point to age and earlier storms to pay less. We document what this storm did: fresh breaks, torn materials and damage that lines up with the wind, and show it in the claim.
Blueprint Claims has settled over half a billion dollars in commercial and residential claims with 15 years in business. Don’t settle for less, get the money you deserve. Fight for your claim!

Usually, yes. Tornado and other wind damage is a covered cause of loss on most homeowners policies: the roof, siding and windows, the inside of the home once the wind opens it, other structures like fences and sheds, your belongings, and living expenses if you can’t stay in the house.
The fight comes after. Insurers underpay tornado claims by scoping only what they see from the ground, pricing the roof as a repair and leaving out other structures. We document all of it before cleanup starts.

Your own homeowners policy usually pays for the damage to your house, even when the tree came from a neighbor’s yard, because the storm caused it. Many policies also help pay to remove the tree from the house. A tree that falls without hitting anything is often a different story.
Take photos before the tree is cut up and hauled off, and keep the tree service’s invoice. Then call us before you talk to the insurer.

Arthur Camayd, partner, is a licensed public adjuster with the SPPA designation, a licensed general contractor, and holds a degree in architecture.
We know how buildings are designed, how they are built, and how to spot the damage most people miss. On complex claims like fires with structural damage or hidden issues, that construction insight and policy knowledge lets us build a stronger claim and challenge a low offer with real authority.

Waiting to see what the insurance company does is how good claims run out of time.
The adjuster the insurance company sends works for them, and a quick look can miss wind damage. Have us document it before you settle for their number.
Insurance companies often deny claims as wear and tear, old damage or not covered. That letter is their side of the story, not the final word. The right proof can change it, but the window to act is short. Call us before you take no for an answer.
Clear what’s dangerous, but take photos and video of the roof, the yard and every fallen tree before anything is hauled away. Once it’s gone, it’s your word against the insurance company’s. Call us first, and we’ll document it the right way.
Don’t wait to see what they do. Call today and let a licensed public adjuster review your options while you still have them. Your policy review is free.

Answers to the questions homeowners ask us most after a storm.
Usually, yes. Wind is a covered cause of loss on most homeowners policies, whether it comes from a hurricane, a tornado or a summer storm. Some policies carry a separate wind or hail deductible. Call us and we'll check how yours applies.
Insurers deny wind claims as wear and tear, old damage or poor installation. We inspect the property ourselves, read the denial letter against your policy, and build the proof to turn it around. Call us before you accept it.
Make the repairs that stop more damage, like a tarp on the roof or a board over a window, and keep the receipts. Most policies expect you to protect the property. Hold off on permanent repairs until the damage is documented. Call us first, and we'll make sure it is.
Look for missing or lifted shingles, shingle pieces in the yard, torn siding, cracked windows, leaning fences and new stains on the ceiling. Much of it can't be seen from the ground. Call us for a free review of the damage.
You pay nothing upfront, and if we don't recover money, you owe us nothing. Our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you, set in writing before you sign, and never more than your state's law allows. Call, and we'll walk you through how it works on your claim.
Call us before you call them. What you say on that first call can hurt your claim, and most policyholders don't know which words give the insurance company a reason to pay less or deny. We'll help you report it the right way, so call as soon as you find the damage.
You can hire us before you file, in the middle of a claim, or after the insurer pays too little. Many of the nearly 7,000 claims we've handled started just like yours. Don't sit on a low check, though: the deadlines to ask for more keep running. Call us now, while you still have time.
No. We're licensed public adjusters, not a law firm, and we don't give legal advice. We document the damage, write the estimate and negotiate with your insurance company. If your claim needs a lawyer, we work together with experienced property damage attorneys, and they rely on the file we've built. Call us first, so that file is built right from the start.
Call and a licensed adjuster will go over your claim with you. The review is free.
